Video streaming company Muvi is organising a 12-hour non-stop marathon – Hackathon for the developer community. The aim is to identify, nurture and give an opportunity to local talent in Bhubaneswar and Orissa, who otherwise migrate to other towns like Bengaluru or Mumbai due to lack of tech opportunities in Orissa.
Any developer working/ non working; part time/ full time; freelancers or freshers, can apply for the hackathon. They will be required to build web or mobile apps from scratch, using any coding language, with core concept around Audio or Video Streaming.
Interestingly, the challenge does not compel candidates to submit a fully functional app. Even if the concept is clear and the developer is able to deliver the idea at basic level, he will be considered selected.
The winners will be awarded a prize amount of $733 (INR 50, 000) along with certificates, recognition and possible on-the-spot job offer from Muvi.
Muvi is claimed to be the first of it’s kind product company (SaaS / PaaS based) based out of Bhubaneswar, Orissa. It was founded by Anshuman Das, who resides and operates from Muvi’s Head Office in New York.
It is basically a cloud-based OTT video streaming platform provider which helps media & entertainment companies worldwide to launch their own branded multi-screen OTT video streaming services like Netflix or Hotstar instantly across web, mobile and smart TVs!
The Hackathon will be organised in Bhubaneswar and will be held on February 11, 2017. The interested candidates can apply here.
