New Delhi-based ecommerce deals and coupons portal Couponhaat has been selected for the Facebook Start (FbStart) programme.

FbStart was launched by Facebook in 2014 to help early stage mobile startups build and grow their apps. It provides an exclusive community, worldwide events and mentorship from Facebook to the startups along with $80K in free tools and services. 6FbStart includes three tracks, viz., Pre-launch (up to $15K benefits), Bootstrap (up to $30K benefits) and Accelerate (upto $80K benefits).

The startup will be a part of the programme’s bootstrap track and will get help in building, growing and monetizing the mobile app. Also, the team will receive up to $40K in free tools and services from Facebook and over 30 partners – including Amazon, UserTesting, App Annie, and MailChimp among others.

It will also get mentorship to deliver more user-friendly features in its Android App to benefit its customer base across Indian marketplace.

Couponhaat was launched in 2015 by Vipin Kumar Yadav. The  mobile app enables buyers to shop from more than 20 shopping categories and benefit from more than 5000 discounted coupons. One of the key features of the app is that it lets the user browse the offers even if he/she is offline. It also recently added features such as Search, Store, Forgot password, Rate Us, and more for increasing user experience and for better visibility.

Earlier in April 2016, a foodtech startup from New Delhi, FoodCloud was selected for the Bootstrap track of FbStart programme.
